As Fiber Artists we’ve been using Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and other spaces to get creatively inspired and build community for years, but there was something before that! I can remember waking up and being excited to check inn Yarn Harlot and MDK. I loved feeling like part of their communities, and I’ve been chasing that dragon for a while.
I live and work in Western North Carolina, teaching knitting, designing knits, dyeing yarn every now and then, working as an artist for a national chain of grocery stores, and repairing our little house in the mountains. I spend a lot of time at coffee shops and around kitchen tables stitching and connecting with my students and friends. I hope this website is like a bigger table for my fiber buddies that don’t live so near. I hope you’ll be eager to connect here, too!
In the coming days, I’ll share introduce myself, the cast of characters in my life, my projects, and my goals – in fiber art and otherwise! Let me know if you’re reading along.
